Prosecutors have charged a Cache County woman with using a dog shock collar to punish two of her adopted special-needs children.

The 52-year-old woman, who lives in Mendon, was charged Wednesday in 1st District Court with abuse or neglect of a disabled child, a third-degree felony, as well as abuse of a vulnerable adult, child abuse and tampering with a witness, which are misdemeanors. If convicted for the felony, she could face up to five years in prison.

The daughter later came back to school and told the teachers that she had made up the whole story, but then broke down and explained that her mother told her to come back and lie to the teachers, McAdams said.

In Kiev, police say a Ukrainian couple’s escapade ended in tragedy when a woman was killed by a locomotive and both her boyfriend’s legs were torn off from below the knees.  It appears that the couple were engaging in a pre-dawn love-making session in the very center of a railway track.

The accident took place in the southeastern Ukrainian region of Zaphorizhia on Saturday, police said in a statement released Sunday.

The women died instantly when the locomotive struck the daring couple, however her 41-year-old boyfriend lived to tell the tale with only severe injuries to his legs.

“A lot of people are missing the boat here,” he said. Molly could be anything … 80 to 90 percent of the time we are given a chemical or substance believed to be Molly, we’re finding most of the time it is something completely different.”

Four recent deaths attributed to Molly have thrust the club drug into the national spotlight. On August 31, a 23-year-old Syracuse University graduate and a 20-year-old University of New Hampshire student died after taking what they believed to be Molly during an electronic music concert in New York City. The deaths, and several other reported overdoses, prompted the Electric Zoo festival to cancel the final day of the concert.

A University of Virginia student died at a rave in Washington, D.C., the same weekend, after taking what her friends said was Molly. Days earlier in Boston, a 19-year-old woman died in a club and three concert-goers overdosed at the waterfront, police said.

Suspected Islamic extremists have gunned down dozens of students as they slept in their dormitories during a night-time attack on an agricultural college in north-east Nigeria, the school’s provost said.

As many as 50 students may have been killed in the assault that began at about 1am local time on Sunday, said Molima Idi Mato, provost of the Yobe State College of Agriculture in Gujba.

“They  attacked our students while they were sleeping, they opened fire at them,” he said, but could not give an exact death toll as security forces still were recovering bodies from the college.

The Nigerian military had collected 42 bodies and transported 18 injured students to Damaturu specialist hospital, according to a military intelligence official.

Famed atheist and author of “The God Delusion” and “An Appetite for Wonder” Richard Dawkins has made some startling statements in regards to p*edophilia and how the unspeakable acts with children really do no harm to the victim.

Dawkins, who was s-xually abused at the age of 11 by his art teacher, told Times Magazine last week that abuse like he and his classmates suffered did “no lasting harm,” and that “mild p-dophilia” or “touching up” should not be classified as child abuse or any other harsh s-xual crime.

The controversial author stated in the interview that he and his classmates were fondled before they even hit puberty. The man who abused him and his friends even abused older men that he knew.
